Our Story

This is us, Molly, Alex and our baby, Ned. Forrest has been a dream long in the making...I worked in marketing for a few years after university but have always dreamed of opening my own café.

It seemed a long shot, so after meeting Alex we pursued a different dream, deciding to quit our jobs and travel around Europe.

We bought a transit van and spent many months converting it into a camper van which we named Forrest. After a few trial trips around the UK we were all set to leave...and then ‘1 The Square’ came up for sale.

It was old, leaky and corporate but it had something. It was a great location and I knew it was the perfect spot for my dream of creating a new type of space in Kenilworth.

So after some long and difficult conversations we made our decision, Forrest the van was sold and Forrest the cafe was born.
